Balding Bob

This latest project is a lot of fun to create. Besides the funny scripts this client supplies me with, they are also open to me being as creative as possible.
I am finishing up the first episode, with more to come.
Here's a still of our hero, Balding Bob.

On a side note, this is being created in Flash. Everything is being inked with the brush tool. Really speeds up production!
Thanks for the push, Bob Flynn!

E-Learning animations

I love working with educational companies. One of my favorites to work with is Compass Learning.
I am posting a few examples of some of the modules I animated.
These were high school online study guides.
Besides illustrating such esoteric subjects such as point-of-view, and researching a paper, I also had the chance to animate some of Shakespeare's plays.
The deadlines were incredibly tight. Most of these animations were done in 2 hours or less.

Of course, everything is copyright Compass Learning.

Vaughn Bode' Shoes

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Vaughn Bode'.
When I was at the Kubert School, I came across his Deadbone Chronicles,
and his characters and landscapes really made an impression on me.
I really wish I could have met him.
So, imagine my joy at being able to track down a pair of these Puma sneakers
with his artwork on them.
And at a great price! They came yesterday, and fit like a glove.

Gardener

In my spare time, I am working on another animated short. My experience at DRAGON*CON last year was great, and I want to make sure that I get something in this year.
So, here's a character from my cartoon.
Of this is just a sketch. I would be insane to try and animate something with all of those lines.
I was playing around with the idea of animating it in Toon Boom, but the version I have, v2, is so buggy with my Cintiq that it's not worth the effort.
I was looking into Anime Pro, but then I realized that I just really like Flash, and I am always learning new stuff as I use it, so I'm going to stick with " who I brought to the dance".
I've already animated the opening :30 secs. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
