Obama Care

Brought to you by the geniuses who came up with " Cash for Clunkers ",
which ran out of money in a week due to poor planning, get ready for
OBAMA CARE.
I'm sure that they will be able to handle our nation's health care without a hitch.
Anyhoo, click on the Elderly Chap to get a glimpse of the future.

I know you are trying to be funny with this cartoon, but I really don't find any humor in spreading these erroneous right-wing talking points about much-needed health care reform. It seems that you want to scare people more than make them laugh. I certainly didn't find it funny at all because I know for a fact that we are in a health care crisis.

American citizens are suffering and dying on a daily basis due to a status quo in which corporations are making record profits by denying health care benefits, even to people who desperately need it. Costs are skyrocketing and the number of people declaring bankruptcy due to medical bills is higher than ever. That doesn't sound like a laughing matter to me...

Making jokes like this to promote your political agenda is rude and just not dignified. That kind of nonsense does absolutely nothing to promote civil discourse of a very important issue that affects each and every American citizen.

Normally I'd try to respectively disagree with you Jerry, but with this kind of propaganda you are creating, you have lost all of my respect.

First of all, I am trying to be funny, in the same way that Thomas Nast,(he is the 19th century cartoonist who created the image of Santa Claus we all know and love,he also exposed the corruption of Boss Tweed and his ilk with his humorous drawings), was trying to be funny and make people think.
Don't believe everything you read in the papers about how this Administration is not going to change anybody's health care, unless that person wants it changed.
It may interest you to know that I have received emails from Canada and England congratulating me on hitting the nail right on the head.
I agree that there should be changes to the system, but I firmly believe in the free market, and that is where the " eureka " moments come from.
I am not right-wing, or left-wing.
Instead, I am a free thinking sort of bird who flies guided by my own ideas.

You know what's really funny?

Eighteen thousand Americans die each year due to lack of health care: THAT'S 50 A DAY.

Maybe you should do an animation about that, it would be hilarious! :/

Where are your facts? People aren't dropping dead in the streets because they don't have an insurance card in their pocket.
These straw man arguments don't prove anything. But I am glad that my cartoon has people talking. Thanks for posting!

I gave you the facts. Not surprised you ignore them, that's what you people do.

It's not a straw man, it's proof there is a health care crisis in this country. You'll keep denying this too and laughing over Americans' death and suffering just to push a political agenda. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Once again I thank you for taking time out of your day to post.
As I read the report,by Families USA, I noticed that many of your "facts" were by the report's own words " estimates".
That's a big distinction.
I read that the Administration is reconsidering the " public option ", and I hope that a true bi-partisan agreement can be reached.

Okay, so let's say their estimate is off by 1/2 or heck, even 2/3 and only 6000 Americans die each year due to a lack of health care. Does that somehow make it okay for you to make silly jokes about the issue? NO! People like you deny reality that there is a health care crisis and try to turn this into a political issue, and that is WRONG! You should know that, but you're obviously trying to cover for your lack of sensitivity on this real SERIOUS subject. This should NOT be a political issue as you paint it with terms such as 'ObamaCare' and implying that our President wants to hurt senior citizens. That is just plain sick!

Oh, and another FACT that you apparently ignore is that if your cartoon character was real and over 65, then he is already covered by 'government-run' health care in this country called Medicare. Ask your granny if she's ready to give up her socialist government-run medicine, and if she's been treated as poorly as the way you have characterized it in your stupid biased animation.

Also, I'd like to see these emails you've supposedly received from Canada and England. Frankly, I think you're lying since nobody has posted any comments here from countries with 'socialized' medicine to support your claim. I find it hard to believe you've been getting such emails so quickly after posting your dumb cartoon on this obscure blog.

You hope a bi-partisan agreement can be reached? Really? I thought you didn't lean to the 'left' or 'right' so why is this important to you? Regardless, when health care reform is passed, will you still call it 'ObamaCare' and make more cartoons with the sole intent of attacking the Obama administration using right-wing talking points? That is obviously what your motivation was in making this propaganda because to any thinking person it's just not funny. You see, to people like you, the actual issues and the consequences of your actions don't really matter, only pushing a political agenda is what is important and for some reason you irrationally HATE Obama and his administration. From your responses, lack of seriousness and blatant partisanship, this much is clear: Passing meaningful health care reform to help protect the general welfare of the American people is not why you made this cartoon. It is a partisan attack that makes light of an issue that affects your fellow citizens in real and serious ways on a daily basis and therefore your actions are despicable.

Hmmm...I'm lying, nice.
This is what passes for civilized discourse nowadays.
I understand why you are so mad.
Do yourself a favor, and find another obscure blog.
I don't think you are mentally equipped for this one.
